He is 12 years old, attending school, and was born in Missouri.6

     John E. Holt died on 3 April 1863 at age 15.4,3 He is buried in the Crane Naval Base - Holt Cemetery located in Martin County, Indiana. His grave marker is grouped together with Green M. Holt, his brother, who died a few months earlier and James Holt, his father, who died in 1870.3,4

     In the 1860 Census he is listed with a wife Mary A. b. IN, age 39. Perhaps this is a second wife. His children that are listed in Henry H. Holt's will distribution are Arana Steward, James, William Susan Cartwright, Henry, Mary A., and Martin Holt (deceased with children - David & others). Nancy Holt is listed in the 1860, but not in the will distribution. A John is listed in the 1860, but not James - I am going with the name James instead of John. Martin is listed with his wife right after this family in the 1860 Census.

     Henry B. Holt was born circa 1811 in Tennessee.5 He was the son of Henry H. Holt and Catharine Grey.2,3,4,1 In the 1830 census in Campbell County, Tennessee, Henry B. Holt is assumed to be enumerated with Henry H. Holt.6

     Henry B. Holt married Mary A. or is this a second wife on 19 August 1835 in Martin County, Indiana.7

     Henry B. Holt, shown as Henry Holt Jr., was listed as a head of a family on the 1840 census Martin County, Indiana. He is between the ages 20 and 30 and living next to Wm. Bowman and his brother, Doswell Holt. Nearby is his brother James and his father Henry Holt Senior. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also in this household, Martin Holt and William Holt, males under 5 years old, Arana Holt, a female under 5 years old.8
