     OBITUARY: Luther Holt Passes Away. Resident of Martin County was Forty-Three Years of Age. Luther Holt, well known resident of Martin county, passed away at his home near Burns City last Sunday after an illness of only a few weeks, his death being caused by a complication of diseases from which erysipelas developed. Luther Holt was a son of George and Elizabeth Holt and was born in the community in which his life was lived. He was past forty-three years of age at the time of his death. He was united tin marriage to Della Anderson and to this union one child, a son, Carlos was born who with the mother survives. He was a member of the Christian church at Burns City and lived a clean conscientious Christian life respected by all who knew him. The funeral service was held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. S. F. Spamhower in charge. Burial was made in the Holt cemetery near the residence of the deceased.¹⁴

     Luther Holt died on 21 September 1924 in Burns City, Martin County, Indiana, at age 43. He passed away at his home on a Sunday, after an illness of only a few weeks. He was a member of the Christian church at Burns City and lived a clean conscientious christian life respected by all who knew him.^6,7,14 He is buried in the Crane Naval Base - Holt Cemetery located in Martin County, Indiana. The funeral service was held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with Reb. S. F. Spamhower in charge.^6,7,16 He was survived by his wife, Della, and his son Carlos.¹⁷

     Della M. Anderson was born on 12 April 1885.^4,3
