ChartsJohn Bricker's Descendant Chart
George Bricker was born in 1790 in Maryland.1 He was the son of Henry Bricker and Barbara Unknown(Bricker).2,3 In the 1790 census in Frederick County, Maryland, George Bricker is assumed to be enumerated with Henry Bricker.4 In the 1800 census in Westminster, Frederick County, Maryland, George Bricker is assumed to be enumerated with Henry Bricker.5

According to the Book, History of Columbiana County, Ohio, John and George Bricker entered part of section 22 in 1814, Butler Township, Coumbiana County, Ohio. David Swadner, from Frederick Co., Md., settled in 1815 on the southwest quarter of the section, but moved in 1824 to the northeast quarter. This would agree with the property tax records of 1830, where they are all living in the NE section of 22.6

George Bricker, shown as George Buck, was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 census Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. He is living near his father, Henry Bricker. It is assumed that he is the male between 16 and 25 years old. Also living in his household are two males under 10 and one female between 16 and 25 years old. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household.7

In the 1830 census at Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, George Bricker, shown as George Bucker, was listed as a head of a family. It is assumed that George is the male shown as between 20 and 30 years old. It is assumed that his parents are living with him, but it is unknown who the male between 5 thru 9 is. It is unknown who the female between 20 and 29 years old is also. It could be his sister, Anna, who he is living with him in 1850, or perhaps a wife. They are living next to Abradham Swadinor, Joseph Bolton, Joseph Straton, Isaac and Samuel Test, John and Joseph Eliott, and Charley and Isaisal Harris. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household, Henry Bricker, a male age 70 to 80 years old, Anna Bricker, a female age 20 to 30 years old, Barbara Unknown(Bricker), a female age 50 to 60 years old.8
George Bricker bought Section 22, T4, R16. at Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, from John N. Bricker in 1831.9 George Bricker was shown between 1833 and 1836 tax list in Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. Section 22, W NE, 40 acres.10 He was shown on the 1838 tax list in Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. He paid tax on 40 acres, Section 22, W NE.10

George Bricker, shown as George Bricker, was listed as a head of a family on the 1840 census Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. It is assumed that his sister Anna, is living with him and she is the female that i shown as being between 20 and 30 years old. There is an Anna Bricker, living with George in 1850 and his sister Anna Bricker, is mentioned in George's will in 1857. George leaves her the farm, which would imply that she had been living with him for some time. Nearby there is David Swadner, who is George is living by in 1830 and who also paid taxes on the same section of land that George Bricker did, 4-16, Sec. 22. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also in this household, Anna Bricker, a female age 20 to 30 years old.1 In the census of 3 September 1850 at Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, George Bricker, shown as George Bricker, is listed as a head of household which includes the following household members; Anna Bricker and Barbary Bricker. He is 60 years old and was born in Maryland. He is a farmer with real estate value of $1300. This household is living near Jason Bricker, age 30. Anna Bricker is assumed to be his sister and Barbary Bricker is assumed to be his mother, are also living in this household.11 George Bricker left a will on 3 November 1856 at Columbiana County, Ohio, George Bricker's Will was probated 2 February 1857 in Columbiana County, Ohio. It was witness by Josiah Cameron and Joshua Coppock. It is assumed that this Will is for this George Bricker because of the people named in the Will and because both Joshua Coppock and Josiah Cameron were living near this George's household in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. George's He bequest to his sisters Hester Smith $30, Elizabeth Beards $30, brother John Bricker $20, sister Anna Bricker, the farm, and the remainer to nephew Jason Bricker. After Anna dies, Jason gets the farm, but has to pay Hester and Elizabeth an additional $100.12

George Bricker died on 17 February 1857. This is assumed to be him because of the death date and the fact that his will was recorded 2 Feb 1857.13 He is buried in the St. Jacob Cemetery located in Salem Township, Columbiana County, Ohio.13
