     Edward W. Cooke died on 11 December 1928 in Arcadia, Hancock County, Ohio, at age 79.⁶

     OBITUARY: Cancer caused the death at noon yesterday of Edward W. Cooke, 75, at his home on Blanchard street. Death followed a long period of illness. Mr. Cooke, the son of Theodora and Ruth Cooke, was born on Aug 2, 1853 at Salem Ohio. He married Fidella Geraldine Bricker of Columbiana County, Oh. who died 17 years ago. To this union was born one son, Dr. L.J, Cooke of south Main street who survives with a granddaughter, Geraldine Cooke. Two years ago this month, Mr. Cooke married Sarah Stevens, who also survives.
One sister, Mrs. Mary Cooke Phelps, of Salem, is living. Mr. Cooke came to Hancock County 50 years ago. Locating at Arcadia. He afterwards came to Findlay. where he was resided ever since. Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Renshier mortuary, Broadway. Interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery.² He was survived by. He is buried in the Maple Grover Cemetery located in.²
