FatherJohn Weimer2
Margaret Weimer was also known as Margaret Wymer.1

Margaret Weimer was born on 15 April 1827 in Ohio.3,4 She was the daughter of John Weimer.2

Margaret Weimer married Robert Arford, son of Jacob W. Arford and Rebecca Scott, on 16 June 1850.2,4 In the Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, census dated 13 November 1850, Margaret Weimer, shown as Margaret Arford, is listed in the household of Robert Arford.      In 1852, Robert and Margaret moved to Dekalb County, Indiana. Robert cleased a small patch of ground and built a log house; 26x18 feet in size and a story and a half high. They were in meager circumstances when they came to DeKalb County, and after paying for part of their land and buying a few necessary articles, they had but $12 dollars left. Robert bought seventy-five acres of land for $359, and paid $130 in cash. He went to work for others till he had paid the rest. Robert made all the furniture in his house with the exception of two chairs and a bureau.

Robert had no team, and he and Jacob Crise bought a yoke of oxen together. Althought commencing life in what seemed adverse circumstances, Robert had toiled bravely on, assisted by Margaret, his noble wife, till they had a fine farm of nearly 200 acres, all under a good state of cultivation.1 In the Stafford Township, Dekalb County, Indiana, census dated 25 June 1860, Margaret Weimer, shown as Margarette Arford, is listed in the household of Robert Arford. She is 33 years old and was born in Ohio.3

Fannie Evelyn Tate was born on 3 December 1909 in McCracken County, Kentucky.1

"I (Fannie) was born on a farm in McCracken Co., KY about five miles out on the old Mayfield Road. I was the youngest of seven children and my mother died when I was ten days old. My Aunt Rena Mills took me for a year, then a neighbor took me for awhile unitl the older sisters and brothers could take care of me. I started to school when I was five; we walked up a lane to Hendron School which was a one room school for six grades. When I was ten, my father moved to town and bought a home on North 12th Street. He remarried when I was three and they had one child, Jewel, who was my half brother. I went to Whittier School, then to Washington, Jr. High, then Tilghman and I graduated from there when I was 17. I took a job with an insurance firm, Gradshaw and Weil, and all in all worked for them about 60 years. I was married at 20, had three sons. They were all good students and went to college. George married Alice Conway of Indianapolis; they have no children. Don married Nancy Holland of Bloomington, IN and they have two adopted children. Michael was eight years younger than George; he married Judy Stivers and they had three children; were divorced and he remarried a girl who had twin boys. They live in St. Petersburg, FL.

We built our second home at 2901 Kentucky Avenue about 40 years ago and I still reside there. George died 22 years ago. I retired when I was 76, and have travelled alot since; went to Europe one summer and have been on two cruises. I have alwyas been proud to call Paducah my home town. We have friendly people, wonderful churches (I go to First Baptist), and a very good school system. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.1

Fannie Evelyn Tate died on 30 June 1995 in Largo, Pinellas County, Florida, at age 85.

Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte

F, b. 8 October 1807, d. between 1847 and 1850
FatherCord Henrich Witte1 b. 11 Dec 1769
MotherAnne Margrathe Ilsabe Bussen1 b. 27 Jan 1776
Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte was also known as Sophia Witte.2

Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte was born on 8 October 1807 in Evangelisch, Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.2,1 She was the daughter of Cord Henrich Witte and Anne Margrathe Ilsabe Bussen.1

Ernst and Sophia may have had more children, but listed here are only those that were shown as immigrating to the US in 1844 plus the one child born in Indiana that is recorded in the 1850 US Census. The assumption is that the children were listed in birth order on the immigration boat log. Combining that information with the German birth records (which include the long German birth names) and the 1850 US Census to make assumptions how they shorten their name. It appears that Carl Heinrich Friedrich Conrad Piepenbrink is also Carl Hari and Charles H. and that Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Piepenbrink is also Christ Wilh and Christian Wilhelm. There were other Piepenbrinks in Fort Wayne at this time and because of the long German names - these assumptions may not be correct.

Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte married Ernst Diedrich Piepenbrink, son of Johann Ernst Heinrich Wilhelm Piepenbrink and Ilse Maria Sophie Charlotte Hoeltken, on 10 March 1833 in Evangelisch, Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.2,1 On 31 March 1834 their daughter, Luise Charlotte Elisabeth Piepenbrink, was born in Evangelisch, Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.3,4 On 7 December 1836 their son, Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Piepenbrink, was born in Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.5 On 17 March 1839 their son, Carl Heinrich Friedrich Conrad Piepenbrink, was born in Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.6,7,8,9,10 On 15 March 1841 their son, Ernest Diedrich Wilhelm Piepenbrink, was born in Germany.11 Her fifth child, Maria Sophia, was born on 11 November 1844 in Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.3,12,13,14 On 11 November 1844 their daughter, Sophia Maria Piepenbrink, was born in Windheim, Westphalia, Prussia/Germany.15,16,13 Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte and Ernst Diedrich Piepenbrink immigrated on 1 July 1846 to New York City, New York. They arrived on the vessel Bark Republic, from Bremen. Charles Piepenbrink and family list Fort Wayne as their destination. The boat log shows Ernest, age 44, Sophia, age 38, Charlotte, as 11, Friedh Wilh, age 10, Carl Heinr, age 7, Ernst Diedr, age 5, Maria Louise, age 6 mo., Sophia Maria, age 6 months. Ernest's brother, Conrad, was living in Fort Wayne at this time. Also, traveling with them was Marie Witte, age 50 or 5. Most of the people on this boat were headed to Ft. Wayne.3 On 21 October 1847 their daughter, Christian Piepenbrink, was born in Indiana.17

Ilse Marie Christine Sophie Witte died between 1847 and 1850; She is not listed in the 1850 census.18 She was survived by her husband, Ernst, and seven children.
